I went online and found a new word for getting schwasted.

So, alright, whatever, Gothamist non-post about cops getting, ah, “pirated copies” of their badges so they don’t lose the originals. Moral of that story? You can get anything in Chinatown if you know where to look. Call the RIAA or something. The Chinese love selling the fake shit.

Wait a minute.

“You’re going to go get boxed on a Friday or Saturday night,” [fmr. chief of department -- what does that mean? -- Louis R. Anemone] said. “You don’t want to say you lost your shield when you were out drinking, so you carry a dupe.”

Get boxed? I dig it, but does anyone say it? A Google search for “get boxed” and “drunk” comes up with two relevant hits that I noticed, both from blog commenters. Where did this term come from? Who uses it?
