The Brooklyn Skillshare is a community-based, community-led, and community-building learning event organized and taught by Brooklyn residents. It is a one-day event of learning, making, sharing and doing. A group of Brooklyn volunteers has been meeting since June to organize the first event, and all of the teachers are volunteers. Organizers are working to gather donations for food, drinks, and supplies to keep the event free, thereby broadening accessibility with the goal of being truly nonexclusive.
